Botanical Features

Evergreen trees, bark greyish-brown, vertically striated; exudation red, sticky. Leaves imparipinnate, alternate, rachis 14-30 cm leaflets 7-15, opposite or subopposite, margin serrate, flowers white, in axillary panicles, fruit a drupe, greenish-yellow; seed one, surrounded by a sweet pulp.
